Hi all:

On June 1=2C Pat and I discovered a chestnut-sided warbler busily construct=
ing a nest at East Berlin.  What struck me as strange is that the male was =
actually constructing the nest and at one point even sat down for a time in=
 the nest as if checking it out for feel.  It was almost complete.  All of =
my nesting books state that the female builds the nest.   Can anyone sugges=
t what might have been going on that the male was doing the nest building i=
n this case.  I'm very puzzled over this. =20
