Dear All, June 1, 2014 About 1/4 of our lawn has sparse to dense stands of Garden Forget-me-not (Myosotis sylvatica) and having noticed that wild bees use this plant I avoid mowing it until bloom is over. But feeding activity late in the afternoon of May 28th was far more intense than anything I had seen before. After nearly 6 days of chill, small bee unfriendly weather, hunger must have coincided with good M. sylvatica nectar (?) production; in the warmer patches an estimated 20-30 bees/M^2 of 5-6 species.
