We walked the part of the St. Margaret's Bay Trail from the park to the marsh this morning with some friends and found 12 species of warblers. There may have been others! Ovenbirds Black-throated Green Warblers, Chestnut-sided Warblers Black & White Warblers Black-throated Blue Warblers Northern Parula Warblers Blackburnian Warblers Common Yellowthroats Blackpoll Warbler Magnolia Warbler Yellow Warblers Yellow-rumped Warbler Robins Bluejays Black Ducks 4 Comm. Loons Great Blue Heron White-throat Sparrow Broad-winged Hawk (h = Heard) Hermit Thrush Blue-headed Vireo Black-capped Chickadees Tree Swallow 2 Red-tailed Hawk 1 Hawk (Buteo) sp. Swamp Sparrow Herring Gull Crows Junco Flicker (h) Goldfinch Common Grackle Red-winged Blackbird (h) On Hwy. 3 just before the park we had 2 Double-crested Cormorants and an Osprey on the nest.
