Kentville) longer loop=2C there = was still little evidence of birds returning. The exception was Ovenbird=2C= which totalled ~18 singing males. Otherwise 1-2 Veery=2C 2 Hermit Thrushes= =2C 1-2 B/H Vireos=2C 2 L. Flycatchers=2C 3 Yellow Warblers ( before the st= art of the trail)=2C 1 Y/R Warbler (should be numerous here by this time)= =2C 1 Magnolia Warbler=2C a P/B Grebe calling from the Cornwallis R. area= =2C a Ruffed Grouse drumming. A list of expected birds not seen or heard wo= uld be lengthy! =20 No butterflies & indeed no flying insects. =20 I have not been keeping track of the breeding Canada Geese at Seven Bridges= but I was surprised to see 6 full-grown young along with the adult pair.
