I heard and saw at least three Chimney Swifts flying over the Frog Pond at Fleming Park, Jollimore, HRM at mid day on Monday, 19 May. They are commonly seen here every year. They were flying and feeding quite high up, while the 8-10 Tree Swallows which were also present were flying low over the treetops, or at times barely skimming the surface of the lake. Today I heard swifts again near the University of King's College, which is just across the Northwest Arm from Fleming Park. Patricia L. Chalmers Halifax
