There are introducti= ons in many locations around the province including a recent one near Cente= rville in the valley. This is a northern plant which grows in huge swathes = in Northern Newfoundland. Probably also a calciphile. My best guess is Marsh Marigold (Caltha= palustris). The range map in the book (which is due for a revision) states= it's only found in Cape Breton County. But upon a further search=2C it loo= ks like there has been some introduced populations seen in Mahone Bay=2C an= d other locations in Lunenburg Co. I think it's safe to assume that if this= is C. palustris=2C that it's origin is likely human caused.
