Hi all, While “teaching” a field course, we birded the north half of McNab’s Island today (from Ives Cove to Wreck Cove) and were pleased to find an Eastern Phoebe singing near Findlay Cove. In the marsh north of McNab’s Pond, there was a Lesser Yellowlegs, in close company with the only other shorebird we saw today, which was, as luck would have it, a Greater Yellowlegs. A great chance to compare the species, not to mention the kind of thing day listers always hope for. Cheers, Andy Horn (with Susan Heaslip) Halifax
