The Sackville Rivers Association (SRA) is a not-for-profit, registered
charitable, volunteer-based community group that has existed since
1988. Its 200-or-so members care deeply about the Sackville River
watershed. President Walter N. Regan will talk about the 25-year
history of SRA projects undertaken to save the Sackville River. The
projects involved pollution control, river clean-up, flood plain
zoning and protection, protecting and restoring Salmon habitat, Salmon
restocking, educating students through in-classroom programs entitled
'River Rangers' and 'Fish Friends', and developing a management plan
for the watershed based on the existing Sackville River Ecosystem Plan
(SREP).

When: Thu 2014-05-01 19:30 - 21:30
Where: Auditorium of the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History, 1747
