Above Jupiter, *Pollux and Castor* form the Arch's top. To their lower left is *Procyon*, the Arch's left end. Farther to their lower right is the other end: *Menkalinen *and then bright *Capella*. On Tuesday, April 29, the *Moon *will go into its New Phase meaning we will not see it all during the night. Expect higher high tides and lower low tides. Of the sky objects just after dusk, the brightest is *Jupiter*. Look for it high in the west. The second brightest is *Sirius*, sinking in the southwest. On Saturday, April 26, the *sun *rose at 6:14 a.m. and will set at 8:21 p.m. giving 14 hours 6 minutes of daylight hours. On Saturday, May 3, the sun will rise at 6:03 a.m. and set at 8:30 p.m. to give 14 hours 27 minutes of daylight hours (These values are for Moncton, New Brunswick). *This Week's Planet Roundup * *Mercury *is hidden in the glare of the Sun. *Venus *(magnitude -4.2) is the bright "Morning Star" low in the east during dawn. *Mars *shines at magnitude -1.2 high in the southeast after dark with Spica well below it, and highest in the south around midnight. *Jupiter *(magnitude -2.0) shines high in the southwest in twilight. It sinks westward through the evening and sets around 2 a.m. *Saturn *(magnitude +0.1) reaches opposition next week.
