Good afternoon:
It has been many years since we were at Port George near low tide: it is =
certainly worth sampling more often, particularly with the excellent =
visibility and very light wind that we enjoyed on this occasion.
Not the least bonus, with today's conditions, were the 18 seals that =
were gathered on the rock in front of the picnic park near Cottage Cove. =
Most of them entered the water when we first arrived: they all returned =
to the rock within 20 minutes. We do not know what species.
At least 5 pairs of Pairs of Harlequin Ducks along the shore from the =
beginning of the shore road to Cottage Cove.  Common Loons, Red-throated =
Loons, most of them in pairs(not necessarily a mate): Red-necked Grebe, =
and other Grebes that we were not certain of the species.
A very worthwhile outing. Cheers,
