The Fox Sparrow was back today in the storm, digging in the snow for
buried seed. I had assumed it had moved on since I hadn't heard it
since Mar. 22, or seen it since Mar. 11. Apparently it had just gone
farther back in the woods.
The two Am. Tree Sparrows were both here looking for seed, as well as
one male N. Cardinal, and 7 Br.-headed Cowbirds.
We also had a Br. Creeper low on the trunk of a Hemlock tree where I
throw hulled sunflower seed on the ground. Does anyone know if they
will eat seed?
Expect to see large numbers of birds when I go out to feed them in the a.m.!
