The Common gull was where Bernard Burke had reported it - hanging around the dumpsters behind the apartments near the car wash at bottom end of Highfield Park Rd around 10:30.it flew off when a noisy garbage truck arrived but I got good photos including the upper wing pattern. Later I saw Jim Edsall, who had seen it (? The same one) at Shannon Park shortly after. The adult male Tufted Duck was with common GoldenEye off the St. Mary's Boat Club. Got distant digiscoping shots of that. Will post pictures on line in due course.
