Index of Subjects Hi Angus, Its very long mouthparts identify the little fly with a walk-on part in the 3rd (beetle) pic as a female empidid fly, no doubt waiting to pierce an unsuspecting victim midge and suck it dry. All very nice photos as usual, including the oriole.
