We accomplished the completion of the White Point Christmas Bird Count toda=
y. With two teams in the field=2C it was extremely foggy for most of the d=
ay and many of the roads could not be traveled due to icy conditions. When=
all was said and done we came up with 45 species. I have one feeder watch=
er to report in yet=2C but I don't believe the total will change much. Of =
special note were 315 American robins=2C 32 cedar waxwings and 26 yellow-ru=
mped warblers. Most of the warblers were at Summerville Beach=2C but there=
were pockets of ones and twos between Port Mouton and Liverpool as well=2C=
usually found with black-capped chickadees. =20
