They are in a running brook that they have dammed off, it is still 
running though, the water should be good, very good actually. I have 
trapped two beavers out of this area each of the last 3 years with no 
such inflammation. I only trap two beavers a year out of any one area 
and they stay in the area, no raping, just harvesting. I plan on 
catching one more there this year before I pull out for the year. I 
will let anyone know who is interested of how things go with the 
next=C2=A0beaver if I do catch another there. I did take pictures with my 
cell phone of the eyes.

  It was healthy other than the eyeslids, full weight and fur in good shape=

  As you said, it sounds like the inflammation caused by bacterial or 
viral infections. I am wondering if it has something to do with the 
water quality where the beaver lived?
