Just to let you know Bev the moth never came out. About a week=0Aor so ago =
the cocoon disappeared. I was feeding Chippy peanuts=0Aon the back step and=
the Blue Jays were horning in - perhaps they=0Amistook it for a peanut.=0A=
Yesterday I was raking the leaves and a piece of bark had fallen=0Afrom a d=
ead branch in the old oak tree. It was about 1 m long=0Aand 12 - 15 cms wid=
e. It landed outside up with the inside on the grass. It laid there about a=
week before I cleaned it up. On the inside of the bark there was 2 green c=
aterpillars. About the size of=A0=0Aa wooly bear but a bright yellowish gre=
en color. Pretty things. I cann't say if they came from the grass or were o=
n the bark before it fell. I put it in the woods so it has a little protect=
ion come winter.=0AToday a winter Caddis Fly was on a rhodo leaf. The first=
I've seen this fall but they will be there from now til real cold weather =
