We all hope you will see this hawk again and better, maybe with a  
photo, and we know we will hear from you if you do.  Everyone should  
know that some white markings on the wings and back are quite normal,  
seen from the rear side of the hawk, and very often these white marks  
form a vee pattern.  Such a white vee is a great field mark at long  
range for the red-tailed hawk.
