Did the person actually see the killing happen? I couldn't see the pictures on the FB page, can a link be supplied? For there to be only "one claw mark on the side of the body and another claw mark on the neck", yet the deer was suffocated? Picture a deer being attacked by a bobcat...how would the bobcat suffocate the deer? It could clamp down on its throat with its jaws, but to do this would leave a lot more marks on its neck (and remember, the deer is presumably struggling, so there would be a lot more marks on its neck and other places). I do not see the bobcat choking the living, struggling deer with its paws...humans can do this because we have thumbs...very few other animals do. I'm suspecting that if the bobcat was indeed what killed the deer, that other wounds were there, just missed. And I agree with Fritz...why would the bobcat be deprived of its prey?
