--001a1133302058afd804e4d7b2b8 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 24-25 August 2013 Sightings of note from Annapolis & Digby Counties - 8 Blue-winged Teal - Aug 24 - Annapolis Royal Marsh - 2 Northern Pintail - Aug 24 - Annapolis Royal Marsh - *Peregrine Falcon* nest - Aug 24 - undisclosed location in Digby County - *Solitary Sandpiper* - Aug 25 - Pea Jack Cemetery Pond - Olive-sided Flycatcher - Aug 25 - Brier Island - 2 adult *Cape May Warblers* - Aug 25 - Brier Island - 2 Baltimore Orioles - Aug 25 - Brier Island Lots of landbirds on Aug 25 following the passage of the cold front. Many warblers and flycatchers, with lots of Northern Waterthrush. Great day for birding, busy day for the banders. Also, on afternoon trip with *Mariner Cruises*: 40+ Humpback Whales (great show, breeching, slapping, etc), Atlantic White-sided Dolphins close in, Harbour Porpoise, Minke and Fin Whales.
