Hi all:
=20
David Vanrijn of Lunenburg observed a chimney swift going in and out of a c=
himney on Pelham Street in Lunenburg a few days ago. David thinks that it =
is house #54. I will check this out tomorrow morning. Can someone pass th=
is along to Ally as I don't seem to have her email address. Anyhow=2C with=
the bird entering repeatedly in the morning=2C I suspect that this is a si=
gn of a late nesting and that the birds are feeding young ones. Judith Orr=
has an active barn swallow nest with adults feeding young ones as of Augus=
t 24. She lives in Union Square. =20

Dorothy Poole and I visited Cherry Hill Beach today. Four young piping plo=
vers were still on the outer part where the last nest was. Signage is stil=
l present there for the piping plover chicks. We also observed two other y=
oung piping plovers which were part way out along the beach. =20
