The Solitary Sandpiper was still in the tidal pool beside the Salt Marsh =
Trail yesterday and now there is also a Spotted Sandpiper at the =
opposite end of the trail (4 km post). There are lots of Short-billed =
Dowitchers, both Yellowlegs, a few White-rumped and Semipalmated =
Sandpipers as well as a lot of really friendly Least Sandpipers. The =
mature Bald Eagle was resting in his usual tree at the Bisset Road =
(west) end of the trail. He was joined by a first year juvenile Bald =
Eagle in the top of a tree directly above the trail. I have added a =
few pictures of some of these birds to my gallery for those who may be =
interested. If I have made any ID errors, please let me know.
