[NatureNS] invasive lady beetle being controlled by fungus?

There were two of these Multicolored Asian Lady Beetles (Harmonia
axyridis) crawling on the house this morning.

After I identified them, I read a bit about them online such as this
interview with Christopher Majka in 2009:

Then I noticed BugGuide has several pages of this beetle "with
Laboulbeniales fungus" growing on their exoskeletons. It seems this is
a naturally occuring group of fungi infecting arthropods (I know
little about fungi). Or has it been used to control this invasive
population hence the amount of pictures available of ailing Asian Lady
Beetles?
