There were two of these Multicolored Asian Lady Beetles (Harmonia axyridis) crawling on the house this morning. http://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/9550283414/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/9550283414/ After I identified them, I read a bit about them online such as this interview with Christopher Majka in 2009: http://www.halifaxnewsnet.ca/Living/2009-08-07/article-989932/Alien-ladybug-species-threatens-native-ones/1 Then I noticed BugGuide has several pages of this beetle "with Laboulbeniales fungus" growing on their exoskeletons. It seems this is a naturally occuring group of fungi infecting arthropods (I know little about fungi). Or has it been used to control this invasive population hence the amount of pictures available of ailing Asian Lady Beetles? Nancy
