All but 6 of the 365 went in between 2100 and 2103= =2C so there was necessarily some estimating for that 3-minute period. Fra= nces Lourie was the only other observer there at the time=2C and=2C countin= g independently from another angle and another car=2C she had 350-355=2C so= the numbers seem quite reliable. I began observing at 2020=2C and the fir= st feeding swifts appeared about 2025=2C with circling flocks building up u= ntil 2100. The first one entered at 2052=2C but the next was not until 210= 0. Sky was clear=2C wind light=2C temperature about 21=BAC. =20 I also had done a count here on 27 July=2C getting 280 swifts=2C also=2C su= rprisingly=2C nearly all entering between 2100 and 2102. With today being Robie Tufts' birthday=2C I trust that someone will be chec= king his site this evening. I may even celebrate by going out to some of h= is favorite Grand Pr=E9 or Evangeline Beach sites before the tide gets too = far out! Wayne P.
