Hi Nancy:

The black & red beetle is the Red-shouldered Pine Borer (Strictoleptura can=
adensis). The Elderberry Borer is more orange than red & the pattern of the=
 red/orange is slightly different.

No doubt the black one is the Pine Sawyer as you say.


As for the unidentified Caddisfly=2C I believe now it is the Chocolate & Cr=
eam Sedge (Platycentropus radiatus). Check it out. Came on this one acciden=
tally.
