--Apple-Mail-3-340671746 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 FYI: Here is a copy of my ISS and Japanese Cargo vessel (HTV-4) report = sent to the RASC listserve: We had nice clear sky this evening in Avonport. I caught both passes of ISS ( the 21:19 max in SE and the 22:56 max in = the Big Dipper); both were bright. and interesting to watch. However = did not see the Japanese Cargo ship (HTV-4) on the first pass. The ~21:19 prediction for HTV-4 from Heavens-Above was a bit early. A = prediction I got later at a NASA site < = http://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/index.cfm?country=3DCanada#.UgMGb= uCdG69 > gave 21:24 as the pass time. It also gave 23:01 as a second, = Aug 7th, pass. Too late to do anything about that one but I was able = to catch the one just before 23:02. I followed it until shortly after = 23:03, passing through the bowl of the Big Dipper, parallel to, but a = bit lower than, the ISS pass at 22:56. It was also quite a bit dimmer. = Near the same short span of time and in the vicinity of the Big Dipper, = there were a few other satellite sightings, but their tracks did not = match the ISS track. .....only he 23:02 - 03 one did !
