I was in Keji yesterday morning & walked several trails. I was impressed by=
the number of mushrooms along the Beech Grove & Old Field trails. On the n=
egative side I did not see a single butterfly & almost no birds.

Yesterday (Aug 1) I found a small patch of Chanterelle (Cantharellus ci=
barius) in the North Alton woodlot=3B almost completely absent there since =
the dry years in the late 90's. And in general=2C fleshy fungi are having a=
n exceptional year compared to the last 15 or so.=0A=
