Learn Shorebird Identification & Basic Monitoring Skills Come to a one-day, basic skills-building workshop for people with an = interest in shorebirds and getting involved with shorebird monitoring. = This workshop is for non-experts and will consist of in-class and = outdoor learning. Participants will learn: overview of shorebirds; = practical tips for identifying common shorebirds and endangered Red = Knot; how to begin monitoring and contributing your data through = eBird.ca or getting involved with Atl. There is limited enrollment for 15 participants who: - enjoy observing shorebirds on the beach, - are interested in coastal wildlife and habitats, - are able to keep track of the shorebirds they see - are willing to share their sightings though eBird.ca - Working pair of binoculars required. - Limited number of spotting scopes provided. - Field guide to birds (if you have one) - Notebook and pen - Participants encouraged to carpool together to coastal site in = afternoon.
