Index of Subjects Dear All, July 27, 2013 I came across an unusual fungus on July 25 in the North Alton woodlot; Polyporus umbellatus. The knife is 14.5 cm long. Spores were 3 x 10 microns, cylindrical, white print & smooth. http://www.flickr.com/photos/91817127@N08/ To make this link work I had to copy & paste. May work after sending ? It is apparently quite rare. We saw one Sept 14, 1986 but I have not checked yet to see if this was an unusually wet year also. Yt, Dave Webster, Kentville
