Last evening the trees along L Torment, E Dalhousie, Kings Co were alive with noisy Common Grackles (including some young being fed), along with a scattering of singing and calling Red Winged Blackbirds. It was a huge gathering of very active black birds making it difficult to note whether any other species might have been mixed in (some of the vocalizations did not sound like either COGRs or RWBLs however). Guess that's how big groups confuse predators (and birders).

This gregarious flock stuck around for about half an hour save for a few stragglers.
