Date: Fri=2C 28 Jun 2013 10:11:17 -0300 Subject: [NatureNS] stonefly=2C E Dalhousie=2C Kings Co From: nancypdowd@gmail.com To: naturens@chebucto.ns.ca Identification corrections/refinements etc are very welcome. This Stonefly (Plecoptera) was on the wall above the nightlight this mornin= g: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/9157163645/ The boundary between= outside and inside is fuzzy at the camp. =0A= The ID should be correct this time as a Stonfly due to the diagnostic tail-= like cerci and brawny legs. There was also a smaller one on the veranda (probably a male) of only 18mm. I read that the presence of Stoneflies is indicative of a healthy oxygen ri= ch waterbody. L Torment is a big=2C deep=2C wavy=2C oligotrophic lake which= would fit this description. =0A= Nancy = --_aeb92b90-5f8b-4124-9348-7b133910fdba_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <style><!-- .hmmessage P { margin:0px=3B padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 12pt=3B font-family:Calibri } --></style></head> <body class=3D'hmmessage'><div dir=3D'ltr'>Nice photo=2C Nancy.
