--14dae94edab191bdb504e0361eb8 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Early Wednesday morning there was a Luna Moth (Actias luna) on the veranda (wingspan 110mm!): http://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/9159167928/ Here is a mug shot taken at the same time: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/9159161762/ The following morning it was on the door of the truck where it spent the day: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/9159163542/ Even their eggs are showy. A half-eaten one on the ground last summer was bursting with bright blue eggs. But I see no reference to this egg color online so perhaps it was a product of decay.
