The colony seems to be fine, with = lots of noise and many birds over the tiny islet. I estimate the nesting = population at 30 - 50 birds. Again, there were no roosting or nesting = gulls visible on Bills Island. In spite of the new apartment building going up on the nearby = mainland it is still possible to drive right down to the water=E2=80=99s = edge. The best time to visit would be during the weekend or in the = evening, when there is no construction activity at the site.
