While watching it another hawk of the same size and shape came in= =2C which seemed to show aggressive behaviour. The only difference was som= ething I've seen in a hawk before of which I still have no identification a= nd no explanation as to what I saw. I had previously posted remarks on it = without positive results for an answer. David Walmark was with me and also= observed the oddity. Half way down both wings in the same spot on the win= g was a white stripe which ran straight down the center of the wing pretty = well from the top to the bottom. It also was a hawk of red-shouldered=2C r= ed-tailed hawk size and shape. I'm thinking likely the mate of the red-sho= uldered hawk=2C but any other suggestions. I cannot explain the aggressive= behaviour of the other hawk diving at the initial one. =20 =20 James R.
