Hi,

My usual experience at dawn is to listen out the open bedroom window in a
half-awake state. I haven't really noticed any decrease in the last few
years, and in addition to the Robins, we are regularly serenaded by
Cardinals, a Baltimore Oriole (for the last 2 weeks or so), Chickadees,
W-thr. Sparrows, a Chipping Sp., Goldfinches and often passing Mallards and
geese. Interestingly, I can rmember from years ago before I came to Canada,
a much louder and more varied dawn chorus in England, but the majority of
this was also made up of Turdus thrushes, e.g. Blackbirds and Song thrushes
etc., whereas here we only have the one species.

Richard
