Toads were trilling there the night before but a= t about 1:00pm on Sat. at least 15 male toads were trilling and hopping, tac= kling each other, rolling temporarily joined and pretty much going for anyth= ing that moved.=20 We decided to get a little closer and even walking barefooted caused the hor= mone boosted toads to jump on our feet or toes. A wiggle of a toe was enough= to have a toad land almost immediately on our feet.=20 We watched the toads tackle each other for a hour while we were there but d= id not see any females in that area.=20 Dave Sent by iPhone=20 On 2013-06-04, at 6:18 AM, Nancy P Dowd <nancypdowd@gmail.com> wrote: > This is the first week I have heard the toads trilling at L Torment (E Dal= housie, Kings Co).
