I took several photos of this day-flying bat on Victoria Day, between 2 and
3PM. It would fly around for a while, and then stick to a tree or the side
of the cottage for a few minutes. It was quite a bit bigger than the usual
bats I see around the cottage. I watched it flying around the driveway and
in the woods for a good hour. These were taken in mixed woods at Indian
Harbour Lake, Port Hilford, Guysborough County, NS.

Interestingly, I saw a very similar bat flying during the day around the
same time a few weeks ago at Smiley's Prov. Park.

Let me tell you, it is not easy taking photos of a flying bat.
Photos were shot at ISO 1600 with a telephoto, so they are a bit grainy.
