Thanks Jim. I made an error yesterday in my e-mail saying it was a Kestrel
I heard yesterday in Wolfville. It was definitely a MERLIN.

Apologies.

Cheers,

Judy Tufts

Judy, don't you mean Merlin here rather than Kestrel? Cheers from Jim in
B.C. (Burns Lake)

A Kestrel was calling in Wolfville this morning, n.w. of the Acadia's

University Hall bldg. I could hear it from the Baptist Church parking lot.

Our first male Purple Finch since the late fall was seen at our feeders

yesterday. Evening Grosbeaks continue to be heard but are not using the

feeders.
