We still have many Redpolls and American Tree Sparrows here in the
Strait Area along with the usual new arrivals. I expect these northern
birds should be leaving soon.
The Mockingbird that arrived in November has overwintered successfully
and comes daily for blueberries and suet. I'm beginning to think it is a
female since it is not making any effort to sing. We have had
Mockingbirds singing in the spring in past years which can be quite
entertaining.
