hi folks,
I neglected to submit some reports from this past Thursday and Friday:

Thursday, 11:30 am. *Kentville Ravine* - *Bald Eagle on nest* in
"incubating posture" (not necessarily incubating); *Evening
Grosbeak*flying overhead.

Friday, 9:00 a.m. *Miner's Marsh *(raw eBird list below) - highlights
included a *Glaucous Gull*, 2 male *Hooded Mergansers*, 2 male *Red-winged
Blackbirds*, and 3 *Evening Grosbeaks*.

By the way, a couple of walkers at the Marsh indicated there *might be a
Bald Eagle nest* somewhere near "the point". By 'the point' they indicated
somewhere along the northeast side of the marsh near the lookout tower (or
beyond). They were unsure both about the species to which the nest
belonged, and the location. However, something for Miner's visitors to keep
an eye out for (or maybe this one has already been discovered).

An additional note, is that I've been trying out a* "gadget" for streaming
eBird observations* - "BirdTrax". Others might have stumbled upon this as
well and this could be a good thing to have on some of our naturalist sites
(?). I've set an example one up here if you'd like to play around with it:

cheers,
James.
