Hi All,

Yesterday, 11 March late afternoon, a large flock of +/-80 grackles
flew over my back yard in Port Williams, Kings Co. at tree top height
flying from west to east. I know they are not the "pretty" birds that
so many enjoy watching but they do set the stage for the return of so
many of our breeding species.

Earlier in the day I enjoyed first hearing and then seeing a huge
flock (+/-300) of Canada geese on their return. They were also flying
from the west but were very high in the sky, they didn't seem to be
flying toward the Minas Basin. They might have been aiming for Truro,
Tantramar, or P.E.I.
