Last year on March 15 we had Coltsfoot in bloom on both sides of =
Duncan's Cove Road at the intersection with Chebucto Head Road. Well, it =
looks like a rerun for this year! The Coltsfoot buds were as big as my =
little finger this morning so with a couple of the promised sunny days =
they should open.=20

Three American Robins were scratching in the leaves in our back yard =
this morning, the first of the spring arrivals. Ray Staszko has added =
Northern Pintail, Red-necked Grebe, Common Murre and Thick-billed Murre =
to his impressive stash of bird sightings and photographs from Purcell's =
Cove. The leeward side of Spectacle Island has been very productive =
during the recent easterly winds.
