With the assumption that wintering ducks tend to return to the same locations in subsequent winters I have periodically looked for this bird, as I have never seen it in my local patch of the Prospect Peninsula. I have not been successful, until. . . On Saturday I finally caught up with it, from the parking lot at the Bay Landing restaurant. Perseverance sometimes pays off. Thank you Bob and Wendy.
