We were plagued by beavers & particularly on one 15-20 km stretch of gravel road with many culverts. There seemed to be a family of beavers at each culvert but the maintenance people had devised a "gate" whcih could be placed at the entrance to each culvert & would still allow the water to flow freely. Virtually each day the workers would travel this road with a front end loader & would lift the gates, clean them out & reinstall them. I don't recall who (perhaps John & Janet Foster who were in the park around that time) decided this would make a good movie clip so they filmed the workers doing their thing & then filmed the beavers doing theirs. The beavers had everything back shipshape in slightly more than an hour!!
Angus

At 10:44 AM 2/19/2013, you wrote:

Quite amazing footage of Beavers hard at work in the Bow River.

Gary Myers

http://biggeekdad.com/2011/06/the-beavers/#.UOB0qzJP9a0.gmail
