Had this reported to us today from the wife of a local lobster =
fisherman: =20
"Fishermen are reporting finding salmon in their lobster traps in St. =
Mary's Bay and also many many dead seabirds floating on the water... =
Mostly Murr's and Cormorants. No apparent wounds on the birds... One =
boat reported counting over 25 dead seabirds today, this is something =
never seen before in the bay... We will attempt to determine what may =
have happened to these birds....please if anyone fishing comes across =
anything out of the ordinary bring it ashore and contact me...."
Who can perform tests on these dead birds to determine what killed =
them...there are several that have been collected and stored in a =
freezer?
