I am very sad to say that 'my' beautifulmature male oriole did not
survive the recent few days of severe weather. But interestingly, the
immature juvenile one did, as well as the male cardinal. I also had a
male flicker coming frequently during this time - feeding only from my
small bird feeder with a cage around it;he hangs on to the cage, gets
his head though one of the squares and his beak is long enough to reach
the feeding ports!
