Bernard Forsythe & I spent about 4 hours on Cape Sable Island today. We saw a Great Blue Heron flying parallel to us near the turn to Daniel's Head. This bird was seen earlier today by Johnny Nickerson & Clyde Stoddart. We saw a Turkey Vulture at The Hawk, within 100 ft or so. We saw perhaps 100 Brant, some of which were just offshore, at The Hawk. Earlier today Johnny Nickerson saw a Snowy Owl on Cape Sable & I believe it has been around for quite some time. There are about three more Shorebird species still being seen at The Hawk, not yet on DOWList, but I'm going to leave those for the CSI birders. They didn't come in for Bernard & I today.
