We stopped to check out the birds beside the Bedford Sobey's today after Church, and found a Glaucous Gull, and another Gull we couldn't ID. If anyone is in that area, it might be worth a look. About Herring Gull size, maybe a bit smaller, small rounded head (more like an Iceland) with red spot on bill, dark eyes, and bright pink legs. It had black wing-tips, and stood at the edge of the ice by itself. We are wondering if it could be a Thayer's??? We didn't have long to look at it, and the female Comm. Goldeneyes, before everyone except the odd gull and the Goldeneyes departed. Soon a Bald Eagle came cruising by, but the odd gull had just left. Lois Codling
