You must have missed my sightings which included house finches, brant,
turkey vultures, golden eagle (Johnny Nickerson), and a few others.

John Sollows also saw a Sandhill Crane in Chebogue Point according to his
posting dated December 12, 2013. He wrote, "As the light started to fade on
Chebogue Point the sound of a raven with a sore throat issued from near Jim
Trefry's farm. What flew by wasn't a raven, though. Turned out to be a
sandhill crane. Nice way to end the count."

Thanks.

Liz

-----

My thanks to (in random order) Tom Kavanaugh, Susann Myers, James Hirtle,
Eric Mills, Jim Edsall, NSBS Facebook Page, Richard Stern, Judy Tufts, Ken
McKenna, Pat Kelly, Bob McDonald, NS Rare Bird Alert. Oops, forgot Ian
McLaren. And I apologise if I forgot others.

The DOWL is up to 94 species now, and the overall winter list is at 199 (I
am awaiting details of an Osprey reported on the Wolfville CBC).
