I was walking the dyke between Hortonville and North Grand Pre when I became aware of a major "crow disturbance". There were dozens of crows dive-bombing a spot in a plowed field. It took at least 5-8 minutes to get to a point where I could see a Raven attacking what appeared to be a Crow, down in a furrow. Given the occasional wing flaps from the Crow, I thought he was a "goner". As I got closer, the Raven flew off, as did all the Crows. The injured (?) Crow was left to move very slowly, on foot, in the immediate area. I thought I should get a photo. I took four photos, from a distance of 50 feet or so, at which point the Crow spread his wings and flew off, looking perfectly normal. However, would you agree that this Crow looks pretty beat up ? http://tinyurl.com/b73yn24 Rick Whitman
