We walked around First Lake yesterday afternoon. There was a Pileated Woodpecker near the nursing home on Cobequid Road and a female Green-winged Teal in the company of Mallards and Black Ducks in the ditch across from the fire station on Metropolitan Drive.

On Friday, we had a flock of a few dozen Common Redpolls in our yard on First Lake Drive.

At work, I have had some great action views of a Peregrine Falcon banking away from the building on Joseph Howe near the Armdale Rotary. My guess is that the bird is only about 30 feet away.
